There is an end - A Devotional commentary on Genesis 41:42

 There is an end

  

    Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck.  - Genesis 41:42

    Though we face various kinds of hardships in life certainly there is an end to it. Joseph was sold out by his brothers, and he was purchased by one of the high officials of Egypt. He was brought to a home as a slave boy and thrown into prison for no reason. 

    He lost his family, loving father, younger brother, and other elderly mothers. His special robes were replaced with slave clothes and followed by a prisoner's dress. 

    Once he was beloved in the family, but now he was accused of improper behavior with his mistress, I'm sure he was beaten up by the angry policeman. 

    A young man who was in his 30s facing all these problems would be tough. especially for a person like Joseph who was raised like a prince in the family. A crime that has no chance to defend himself was put on Joseph. There is no way that he can prove his innocence. He was left in a hopeless situation.

    But now God changed everything, he was brought back into royal robes, and no more slave or prisoner clothes. 

    Now he was the ruler of Egypt, everyone including the lady who filed a case against him and the policeman who threw him into prison based on his wife's words must respect him. 

    Now he has power over the whole of Egypt. A prisoner became a prime Minister. What a change that God has brought upon his life. 

    If God could do it in the life of Joseph he can do it in your life as well. Trust him to the most, and submit unto him he will change everything in his time for your benefit. Hardships wouldn't be much longer in your life, just believe there is an end to them.
